The COVID-19 health crisis left many companies struggling to maintain security and business continuity.
Understandably, business leaders are focusing on standing their ground against operational and financial pressures. Many companies and industries serving critical functions accelerate their digital transformation. However sudden and not carefully planned digitisation increases the risk and eventually the impact of cyberattacks. According to The World Economic Forum’s COVID-19 Risks Outlook published in May 50% of enterprises were concerned about increased cyberattacks and data fraud due to a sustained shift in working patterns.
Attackers exploit uncertainty, unprecedented situations, and rapid IT and organisational change. Decreasing the risk in a timely manner is essential to businesses as cybersecurity is what enables them to remain open and operational. It is now the time to get prepared to better understand and respond to the evolving cyber challenges.
THE EVENT
Not all companies and government actors are prepared for the cybersecurity threats of the future. And even those who think they are - can never be prepared enough for the ever-evolving threats and an infinite number of vulnerabilities that enterprises must attempt to defend.
The keyword here is resilience, and the notion that software is not the only solution. After all, humans are the most vulnerable access point for a breach and information is key in building capacity to cope with an increasingly complex landscape.
In this context, the Cybersecurity and Data Protection Forum will bring together business executives, legal executives and cybersecurity professionals to discuss the most recent trends and threats.
